Minerals and gems have been given many attributes throughout the ages. Different traditions ascribe different traits to them - this is a general list of stones and their common associations.

Unakite  - An altered granite composed of pink orthoclase feldspar, green epidote, and generally colorless quartz. It exists in various shades of green and pink and is usually mottled in appearance. Promotes balance and emotional stability. Transforms negative emotions into positive ones. A grounding stone. Chakras: Heart, Solar Plexus  Astrological sign: Scorpio

 Variscite- A relatively rare phosphate mineral and high quality specimens are used as gemstones and for carvings. Variscite is colored by traces of chromium . Gives inner strength and provides reasoning.  Used to treat impotence and blood flow.  Chakras: Heart  Astrological sign: Taurus, Gemini, Scorpio 

 

 Verdite- A light to dark green serpentine rock which is often spotted or variegated. Most specimens come from South Africa and Zimbabwe.

 

 Zircon- Has great brilliance and intensive fire, due to its high refractive index and strong dispersion.
